King Of Afrobeats “Wizkid” aka Big Wiz To Headline 2022 Yam Carnival

Yam Carnival is returning to Clapham Common this August after a successful debut last year, with Wizkid as the headliner.

Last year, the Nigerian Afrobeats musician made London his own by taking over London’s O2 Arena for a star-studded three-day leg of his Made In Lagos tour, and if he brings even a tenth of that intensity to Yam Carnival, it would be truly spectacular.

Other Nigerian Artists to perfor are 

• Naira Marley,
• Flavour,
• Ckay.

Congolese singer-songwriter Fally Ipupa, South London Afro-fusion artist Gabzy, Ghanaian musician Black Sherif, and British-Ghanaian rhymer ShaSimone, will also perform alongside Wizkid.

Not only that, but there will be a special visitor on stage as well, though no information on who that might be have been revealed.

Naturally, Amapiano will be well-represented this year, with the new Piano People stage hosting DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small, Major League DJz, Focalistic, Vigro Deep, Kamo Mphela, DBN Gogo, and Young Stunna, among others, to reflect the South African vibe.

Clapham Common will host the Yam Carnival on August 27 2022.
