How many Grammy awards has Wizkid won 2015 – 2022

Nigerian singer Wizkid is one of the few African artist with Grammy Awards

With Zenzile Miriam Makeba, nicknamed Mama Africa, being the first African in 1966 and King Sunny Adé being the first Nigerian to win the award in 1984.

However, ten black artists have won the Album of the Year Award since the Award debut in 1957 namely :

Wizkid was first nominated for Grammys in 2015 the later 2021 for “Brown Skin Girl” by Beyonce along Saint Jhn and himself, which the won and was given a plaque each.

Another Artiste who won his very first Grammy in 2021 is Burna Boy who was first nominated in 2020 for his Album African Giant which he lost to Angélique Kidjo.

Although Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido are Nigerians current biggest 3 Artistes, Davido has never won nor been nominated for Grammy Award.
